Ranks and badges
Standing that is earned by arithmetic, never granted by a person.
Every rank and every badge is computed from things the platform already records — when you registered, what you sold, what you gave away, how fast you answer, how often you are refunded. Nobody at Momo can award one, which is exactly why a buyer can believe it.
You have an account. Nothing listed yet.
One listing approved and live. This is the rung that opens a public profile.
Your first install by somebody who is not you — paid or free.
25 installs, 4.0 or better across 10 reviews, refunds under 5%.
250 installs, 4.5 across 40 reviews, refunds under 2%, nothing rejected in six months.
2,000 installs, 4.7, refunds under 1%, a free automation past 500 installs, and a year at Bingwa.
The badges
Five rules that keep it honest
- Computed nightly. From records that already exist — no new source of truth.
- No manual grants. Not for partners, not for staff, not for a founder’s own account.
- A refund undoes its install. Otherwise a rank could be bought by selling to yourself.
- Only installs into workspaces you do not own count. Same reason.
- Losing a badge is quiet. It disappears from the profile and the seller is told privately.
Verification
The ✔ is the one mark a person grants: it means “this is a real Tanzanian business and we checked”. It is deliberately kept separate from the rank ladder so the two are never confused.
